About Us

[Teamwork] [Success] [Commitment]

W e are Family…   W e are a Team

P atti Jo Hermann

For 30 years I have been a member of the Edina Realty family.   In the beginning, when my three children were young, I valued the flexibility of being able to devote as much time as I needed to my own family while pursuing a career that I loved.

As my children grew, so did my business and my achievements.

  • Top ½ Percent of Sales Nationally
  • Voted by Peers as Super Agent in 2003, 2004 & 2006
  • Selected “Agent of the Month” in 3/2004 by Broker/Agent Magazine
  • Edina Realty Chairman’s Circle Member
  • Edina Realty President’s Advisory Council Member
  • Edina Realty Exceptional Properties Member
  • National Board of Realtors Member
  • Elected to the Minnesota Board of Realtors 2007
  • GRI (Graduate – Real Estate Institute)
  • CRS (Certified Residential Specialist)

Community involvement has always been important to me as well.

  • Wayzata Chamber of Commerce Member
  • Fund-Raiser & Participant in “Bob’s Sleep-Out,” an annual campaign through Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners to raise awareness & assist the homeless in our community
  • Minnetonka Center for the Arts (MCA) Board Member 1991-2001
  • MCA “Holiday House” Honorary Chairperson 2000 & 2003
  • Holiday House major Financial Benefactor for 12 years
  • Supporter of & Participant in the Susan G. Komen Foundation & “The Race for the Cure”
  • Lafayette Country Club Golf Member

I credit my involvement in these organizations for my ability to interact with a wide range of personalities and for my strong skills in fair and ethical negotiating.

M atthew Hermann

In 1999 I joined my mother’s real estate business to form The Hermann Group.   Before becoming a Realtor, I graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in New York and had a successful career as an Executive Chef here in the Twin Cities.   Once my wife Brette and I had the first of our two children, however, we agreed that the restaurant business wasn't ideal for raising a family the way we wanted to.  Being in the restaurant business for over 14 years taught me how to work hard and how to manage the presure of everyday life.  As an Executive chef, organization, planning, communicating and time managment is crucial. The same is true in real estate.

Growing up, my mom was always there for me when I needed her – greeting me after school or sitting in the stands at my hockey and football games – I could always count on her.   I want that for my family, too, especially now that we are involved in the Minnetonka Youth Hockey Association.   Since I absorbed so much real estate knowledge through ‘osmosis’ while I was growing up, it was a natural transition to join my mother.

Beside the every day business of listing and selling homes, keeping our team up-to-date on available technology falls under my jurisdiction.   Maximizing our efficiency, productivity, and marketing options enables us to focus on our relationships with our clients and their needs.

Naturally, Realtors spend a great deal of time “Showing Properties” to home buyers.   For our clients, that phrase has an additional meaning – it’s the name of my boat.   What better way to view lakeshore properties than from the Lake!

My Achievements include:

  • Edina Realty Chairman's Circle Member 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008
  • Edina Realty President's Circle Member 2000, 2001, and 2002
  • GRI - Graduate REALTOR Institute 2000
  • E-Pro - Internet Professional 2006
  • ABR - Accredited Buyer Representative 2007
  • Awarded Super Real Estate Agent 2004, 2006 and 2007 by Mpls St Paul Magazine and Twin Cities Business
  • Relocation Certified
