Knowing a person for over twenty years will give you a true picture of their character. When I first met Patti Jo Hermann in 1986, she was working for a real estate company that we, as Edina Realty, were bringing under our wings. We have lived in our home for 21 years. When we decided to sell we needed to interview several real estate agents to find a good fit for us. In our first meeting we knew we had found that fit. Patti Jo Hermann has been more than our realtor since the Spring of 1991 when she moved us from St. Charles, Illinois to Plymouth, Minnesota. She has been our friend.
It could have been a terrible move. We were so comfortable in St .Charles . We lived in a young neighborhood with great friends and were established in a church community. We had two young sons, ages five, and two and had enrolled our oldest son in Kindergarten for that Fall, when this opportunity came up in Minneapolis. The schools in St. Charles were excellent and new. The support group of good neighbors when my husband traveled, which he did most weeks from Mon.-Thurs., was also excellent. I was obviously apprehensive. But Patti Jo saw this and did everything to alleviate our fears. She showed us only neighborhoods where we could immediately assimilate and immediately make new friends. The Wayzata Schools were very comparable to the schools we were leaving, and the Plymouth area was much like the community of St.Charles.
Needless to say, the move was not as bad as we anticipated, solely due to Patti Jo. She showed us not only houses but the lay of the land, and connected us to the community. When the sale was final she checked on us frequently to make sure we were happy thus becoming a dear friend, not just our realtor.
Now two moves later, we live in Medina. And guess who moved us here? ! Patti Jo Hermann!!!!! We remodeled a home that Patti Jo showed us multiple times as we thought through the plans. She never pressured, she never connived, she just gave us her educated opinion and let us do the rest.
She sold our first home in Plymouth in twenty-four hours and our last home in Plymouth, we had an offer the first week that it was on the market, and we sold it to that buyer in less than a month.
Patti Jo's reputation is golden. She was recommended to us by our realtor in St. Charles as being one of the best in the Minneapolis surburbs. We whole-heartedly agree.
